The All-Western NiteClub transitions to the ACBL Clubhouse

We’ve had a great ride for almost four years now, holding high the banner of the All-Western NiteClub. The interdistrict VACB hosted over 15,000 tables of 99er and 199er games, introducing hundreds of new players to bridge and providing some education to a lot of you in the form of pre-game mini lessons and post-game hand reviews.

August 31st was our last day of play online. We have transitioned to ACBL’s ClubHouse in the Virtual Club area of BBO. You can still enjoy the same 6:30PM Pacific Time game–a 12-board 199er game, as well as the Zoom postmortems hosted by the same teachers that have brought you immeasurable hours of education in the past few years. Liz Erling, Wirt, Gilliam and Will Watson are continuing on!

You will receive automated ACBL Live messages following each game with your results, and a zoom link will be provided by the BBO director at the end of each game taking you to the postmortem session. Click here to join the Post-game lesson on Zoom. You can also search years of Lynn Berg’s lesson archives, as well as our new recording archives available at this link for free!

It’s been a great experience, and many thanks are due to our

directing staff Lynn Yokel, Liz Erling, Ellis Feigenbaum, Will Watson and Arleen Harvey as well as our teaching staff Liz Erling, Wirt Gilliam, Paul Darin, Marjorie Michelin and Will Watson. Barbara Blake and Lynn Bartz have also been invaluable members of the team, spending countless volunteer hours providing treasurer and accounting services.

We hope you continue to enjoy the games!

Royal STaC Policy for 2025

Dear District/Unit Presidents and District/Unit STaC Coordinators,

The Royal STaC allowances for 2025 will remain unchanged from 2024. Each Unit may participate in two Royal STaCs during 2025.

Royal STaCs may be held by an individual Unit or by a group of Units, be district-wide, or incorporate parts or the entirety of multiple districts. If a Unit participates in two Royal STaCs, they may not participate in a third even if it is a district-wide STaC.

Units should plan accordingly, bearing in mind that they will be unable to participate in a district-wide or other Royal STaC later in 2025 if they have already participated in two Royal STaCs earlier in the year.

D22's Education Grant
Program is in
full swing

Consistent with its mission of promoting duplicate bridge and specifically programs of education for its membership, District 22 has launched an education grant program, encouraging grant proposals from member units and clubs that focus on bridge education and membership building.

A selection process is then applied, and if accepted, a monetary stipend is issued to the submitting entity. Upon competition of the “project”, we will encourage sharing of their accomplishments to promote best practices within the district.
